Maryland Eastern Shore Photographer
I didn’t arrive on the Eastern Shore for an assignment — it’s where my documentary practice is rooted. My ongoing series follows watermen, boatbuilders, and working-waterfront communities across the Chesapeake: the labor, the inherited knowledge, and a shoreline under pressure.
That sustained access matters for organizations who need the region photographed truthfully. Tourism offices, conservation groups, museums, seafood and fisheries organizations, hospitality and outdoor brands, and regional publications get a photographer who already knows the docks, the seasons, and the people — and photographs them with respect rather than as scenery.
Commissions can range from a single story to a recurring image library: portraits of the people behind an organization, documentary coverage of working water, landscapes and environments, and event coverage such as the Waterfowl Festival, which I have photographed.
Based in New York City and regularly working on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Tell me what your organization needs to show, and I’ll propose an approach.
