Sustained Chesapeake documentary work, available for regional commissions.
I didn’t arrive on the Eastern Shore for an assignment — it’s where my documentary practice is rooted. My ongoing series follows watermen, boatbuilders, and working-waterfront communities across the Chesapeake: the labor, the inherited knowledge, and a shoreline under pressure.
The Eastern Shore series is arranged in two chapters, Working Water and Weathering the Shore, bringing together photographs of labor, inherited knowledge, and communities living with a changing coastline. That sustained view informs commissions for tourism, conservation, cultural organizations, and working-waterfront businesses.
Commissions can range from a single story to a recurring image library: portraits of the people behind an organization, documentary coverage of working water, landscapes and environments, and event coverage such as the Waterfowl Festival, which I have photographed.
Based in New York City and regularly working on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Tell me what your organization needs to show, and I’ll propose an approach.
